ace&jig internship photoshootWhile I interned at ace&jig in Portland, Oregon for three months, the owner gave me the opportunity to curate a photoshoot with their clothing as a promotional tool for an online sample sale that happened May 2019. I had to find the models, scout locations, style the clothing pieces allowed as well as finalize edits of all the developed 35 mm film. They used these images on their Instagram page, in their email blasts, as well as on their website.

This a series of photos inspired by my friend Marysia. She is one of the most electric people I know. She is so naturally beautiful. I asked her to take me where she felt most comfortable and I found out it was the forest in her backyard. Anyone can see the serenity on her face when she’s in nature. She is most herself when surrounded by leaves and trees and rivers. I wanted to show an audience that girls like Marysia are rare: it is so very hard to be a natural girl in a superficial world.November 2017. 35mm film.
